Chipper's company mission is to help give our pets (patients) longer years and the best years. Not that they haven’t learned how to love everybody and be nice, but to give them more time to share that love, spread happiness and annoy us a little bit longer.
Chipper is owned by a licensed Veterinary Doctor and the current focus is on providing grooming services and pet food & supplies. If you would like to be part of the team please read carefully below the job description.
WHAT ARE YOUR DUTIES AS A GROOMERS? Groomer to perform the following, but not limited to, duties and responsibilities:
- Bathing, conditioning, and drying pets
- Dematting and detangling hair as required
- Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners’ instructions or standard grooming styles
- Accommodating special pet grooming requests that pet owners may have
- Trimming nails, brushing teeth, and cleaning ears
- Identifying health issues in pets, such as external parasites, ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay, and informing pet owners of these observations
- Ensuring that all pets are safe during the grooming process
- Routinely cleaning and disinfecting the shop, work areas and cages
- Keep all grooming tools properly stored, clean, dry, sanitized, and ready for use
- Recommending suitable products to pet owners

QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 2 years experience
- Knowledgeable with different haircuts
- Preferably knows cat grooming
- Kind, polite, honest
- Must be gentle and patient in handling pets
- Follows cleaning protocol and accepts constructive criticisms
- Physical maltreatment is not tolerated
